The next generation TOEFL test tests your skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The test is unique because it integrates, or combines, these communication skills. For example, you might read a passage of text and listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about it in response. The new test will consist of four sections. 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기가 복합적으로 출제된다고 하네요.. 그런데, 기존CBT의 L/C long, lecture, R/C, TWE유형 유지하며 약간 지문늘어나는 수준으로 변하는 문제 있구요.. Speaking과 Writing에서 듣기와 읽기와 복합한 문제 출제됩니다. L/C short사라지고, S/W역시 사라지만 말하기와 쓰기에서 문법실력을 측정한다네요.. 전체 4시간 문제풀고, 점수 CBT보다 빠르게 발송한다네요.. 1년에 30에서 40번 볼수 있답니다. 각 파트 살펴보면 일반적인 점은 CAT방식 사라지고 GRE처럼 점수 누적되고, 수험생의 각 파트의 부족한 부분 피드백해준다는군요. . 이거 완전 ETS 장사 좀 해보겠다는 속셈입니다. 말이 피드백이지... 가격은 140$.. 이거 30번 보면 거덜날껍니다... 원문은 아래 링크 참조하세요.. http://ftp.ets.org/pub/toefl/TOEFL_at_a_Glance.pdf ********* 듣기 영역 : The Listening section consists of: - 2-3 conversations that include 2 or more speakers in each 이건, 대화를 듣고 문제푸는건데 long conversationt에서 변형된 거겠죠? 문제는 역시 3분동안 대화에 딸린 5문제를 풀어야 한답니다. 처음 iBT 발표할때는 (30 to 60 seconds)라고 했는데, 은근슬쩍 3분으로 늘렸네요.. short conversation은 사라지는 듯.. - 4-6 lectures, some of which include classroom dialogue 이건 PartB Lecture에서 확장된 거겠죠? 그런데 한 지문당 3-5분동안 한 지문당 6문제 출제된답니다. 문제푸는 시간까지 생각하면 지문 자체는 2분 정도에 400 단어정도의 길이겠죠? CBT Lecture가 PBT R/C처럼 변하더니 iBT Lecture는 CBT R/C처럼 변할 것 같군요. Opportunity to take notes while listening 다행히, iBT 듣기 시험에서 필기가 가능하답니다. 수업듣는 것과 실제 상황과 비슷하게 만들려고 노력했다는군요.. 또한 몇몇 새로운 유형의 문제 출제된답니다. 화자의 태도, 확신정도, 말한 목적, 말한 동기를 묻는다고 하네요.. 총점은 30점이고 전체 듣기 역시 60-90분이랍니다. partA 사라지고 쫌 어려워진 partB가 나온다고 생각하면 쉬울 것 같네요. ********** 읽기 영역 : The Reading section consists of: - 3-5 academic reading passages followed by comprehension questions that measure the ability to understand and analyze the meaning of the passages 이건 CBT R/C랑 비슷할 것 같군요.. 내용이해와 분석.. 다만 700단어 길이의 3-5지문, 지문당 12-14문제 출제되고 60-100분 문제풉니다. 역시 처음에는 300단어 수준이라고 발표하더니 은근슬쩍 700단어로 늘렸네요.. 독해실력 많이 늘려야 하겠습니다.. 주제는 기존 CBT에서 큰 차이 없을 거라고 생각됩니다. fact에 대한 지문과 북미관련... New features that make the testing experience easier, including a glossary and review feature 그런데, 고급단어 같은거 클릭하면 영영사전풀이 보여준다고 하더군요. 어휘력보다는 이해력을 측정하려는듯.. 그렇다고 기초단어가 필요없다는 소리는 아니겠죠? 그리고, 지문내용 요약 분류하고 요약 차트같는 것에 빈칸채우기 문제도 생긴다네요. CBT에서 클릭하는 문제 생긴것처럼 새로운 유형 출제되네요.. ********** 쓰기 영역 : The Writing section consists of: -1 Writing task about a familiar topic (independent writing) You use your personal knowledge and experience to answer the question. This task is similar to the writing task on the computer-based TOEFL test and the Test of Written English (TWE) 이건 CBT의 TWE와 거의 유사합니다. 이것 30분동안 풀어야 합니다. 단 Topic은 주장에 대한 옹호쪽 문제만 출제될 것 같군요.. 새로운 토픽이 추가될 수도 있겠죠.. -1 Reading/Listening/Writing task (integrated writing) Academic reading and lecture; you can take notes and use them to respond. In your response, you explain the key points in a lecture and explain how they are different from those in the reading passage. 이것이 바로 iBT에서 심혈을 기울여 만든 통합형 문제입니다. 이건 수업시간에 Textbook펴놓고 수업듣는 상황이라고 생각하시면 됩니다. 읽는 내용이랑 들은 내용이랑 차이에 대해 핵심을 비교해서 적거나 뭐 이런문제입니다. 이건 20분 동안 풀어야 한답니다. opinion도 출제될지는 잘 모르겠네요.. 각 문제 0-5점까지 매겨지고 총점은 0-30점으로 재조정된다는군요.. ************** 말하기 : The Speaking sample responses section consists of: Speaking이 한국학생들에게 제일 부담스러운 강적이라고생각되네요.. - 2 Listening/Speaking tasks. 듣고 말하는 문제입니다. 요건 iBT 초기에 2문제 출제된다고 했는데, 요즘은 요문제에 대한 언급이 없습니다. 아마 조정되면서 조용히 없어진듯 싶네요.. - 2 speaking tasks about familiar topics (independent speaking) 특정 주제에 대해 말하는 문제입니다. 다음과 같은 문제가 출제됩니다. Narrator: Number 1. You will now be asked to give your opinion about a familiar topic. After you hear the question, you will have 15 seconds to prepare your response and 45 seconds to speak. Which method of studying do you think is better and why? -- 문제 Preparation time: 15 seconds Response time: 45 seconds 현재의 TSE문제 출제와 채점기준과 비슷한 문제인듯 싶습니다. 전 TSE준비는 안해봤고 얼핏 sample문제만 한번 봐봤는데.. Part3에 이런 문제 있었던것 같더군요.. TSE준비해보신분께서 요건 말씀좀 해주세요.. - 4 Reading/Listening/Speaking tasks. 지문 읽고 그 지문에 대한 의견을 듣고 문제를 들은 다음 30초 정도 자신의 생각 정리할 시간 주고 1분 정도 말하는 문제입니다. 요게 writing문제와 더불어 iBT의 꽃이라고 볼 수 있는 문제인것 같네요.. 초기에는 2문제만 출제한다더니 조용히 4문제로 늘렸습니다.. 이런 문제가 출제됩니다.
