▶▷<동사 찾기>-B 문장의 동사를 찾는 것이 기본이지만 동사 이외에 빠져있는 다른 성분의 일부도 함께 찾아야 한다. 우선 문장의 시작인 Located는 주어가 될 수 없음을 알아야 한다. 과거분사로 시작하는 문장은 도치문이거나 분사구문이다. 그런데 주어진 지문은 Located ~ 가 독립적으로 쓰이지 않았기 때문에, 분사구문이 아니라 도치문이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 즉, 주어와 동사는 Located ~이후에 나온다. 이렇게 일부 문장성분이 문두로 도치되는 경우, 주어와 동사도 위치를 바꾼다. 문장이 도치된 성분+동사+주어 순으로 전개된다. 그런데 동사는 보이지 않고 밑줄 뒤에 명사인 an adrenal gland가 나오니, 이것이 주어이다. 그렇다면 밑줄의 자리는 바로 주어와 도치된 동사의 자리이다. 동사가 빠져있고 주어진 문장이 단문이라는 것을 알았다면 답은 쉽게 찾아진다. 그런데 만약 선택지의 kidney를 이상하게 여긴다면 답을 찾기가 쉽지 않을 수 있다. kedney는 is의 주어가 아니라 each의 수식을 받는 명사이다. 따라서 Located 구(각 신장의 위쪽 끝에 위치하고 있다)의 일부인 것이다.
